Washington Redskins

The Washington Redskins have been members of the NFL since joining in 1932 as the Boston Braves. After the first season, they changed their name to the Redskins, and then in 1937 they moved to Washington and won the league championship in their first season in Washington. Since that time they have won five Conference Championships, 12 Division Championships and made 22 Playoff appearances resulting in a total of five League Championships, including Super Bowl XVII, XXII and XXVI.

The home ground for the Redskins is FedEx Field, with a capacity of 82,000 making it the second largest venue in the NFL. The stadium opened in September 1997.in Prince George’s County, Maryland. FedEx Field is the place to see the Redskins official marching band and hear their fight song – both were firsts in the NFL.
