St. Louis Rams

The St. Louis Rams joined the NFL in 1936 when they were the Cleveland Rams, which was the second incarnation of the charter member of the second AFL. In 1946, the club moved to Los Angeles, staying in that area until they moved to St. Louis before the start of the 1995 season. Since formation, the Rams have won six Conference Championships, 15 Division Championships and made 27 Playoff appearances. In total they have won two NFL Championships and one Super Bowl, beating the Tennessee Titans in Super Bowl XXXIV at the end of the 1999 season.

The Edward Jones Dome is the home field of the St. Louis Rams and the stadium was built with the aim of bringing a NFL team back to the city of St. Louis. The Dome opened in 1995 and has a capacity of 66,965. It is also the location of the largest indoor gathering ever in the United States in 1999, when Pope John Paul II held mass to over 104,000 people in the stadium.
