Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars joined the NFL as an expansion team in 1995, when they became the 30^th member joining just one month after the Carolina Panthers. In their first season, both teams successfully broke the previous record for the most wins by a first season expansion team with four victories. The Jags finest hour is probably the playoff game against the Denver Broncos in 1996 where they won 30-27 in Denver against the odds. When the team arrived back at the stadium an estimated 40,000 fans were waiting to greet them after watching the game on the JumboTron displays in the stadium. Since joining the league, the Jaguars have won two Division Championships and made six Playoff appearances, but have yet to appear in the Super Bowl.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have played every home game at EverBank Field, close to the St Johns River in downtown Jacksonville. This stadium was a replacement built on the site of the Gator Bowl Stadium, and opened in 1995. The stadium capacity is 76,867, and in addition to the Jaguars is also the host venue for the annual Gator Bowl, the sixth oldest college bowl game which has been running since 1946.
