Carolina Panthers

An expansion team who joined the NFL in 1995, the Carolina Panthers play in the South Division of the NFC. When they announced that they would raise the finance for the team through the sale of Permanent Seat Licenses, the seats sold out by the end of the first day. Shortly afterwards, the Panthers became the 29^th team to join the NFL, one month before the Jacksonville Jaguars joined. Since then, the Cardiac Cats have won one Conference Championship and three Division Championships for a total of four Playoffs appearances. Their most successful season was in 2003 when they played in Super Bowl XXXVIII, recording a narrow loss to the New England Patriots.

The Carolina Panthers home field is the Bank of America Stadium, a 73,778 seat football stadium in the city of Charlotte, North Carolina on the site of the Good Samaritan Hospital. This stadium officially opened in September 1996 and has since been the host venue for the Belk Bowl and the 2010 and 2011 ACC Championship Games.
