Arizona Cardinals

One of the only two remaining original charter members of the NFL in 1920, the Arizona Cardinals started life in Chicago in 1898, making them the oldest continual football team in the country, before moving to St Louis in 1960. After 27 seasons in St Louis, the Cardinals moved to Arizona in 1987. After 18 years playing at the Sun Devil Stadium, they moved to the new University of Phoenix Stadium in 2006. Over the years, the Arizona Cardinals have won two NFL Championships in 1925 and 1947 and six Division Championships. In six play-off appearances the Cardinals have made on Super Bowl, and lost Super Bowl XLIII in 2009 to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The University of Phoenix Stadium, where the Cardinals play home games, hosted the first game in August 2006. This stadium can seat 63,400 fans and has won awards for its architectural design. It also hosted Super Bowl XLII between New York Giants and New England Patriots in 2008.
